9/3/2011 · In terms of Windows Explorer lag I’m assuming it’s software related. Could it be some sort of data corruption or something? Again I had a previous problem where Windows Explorer was really laggy (taking 15-20+ seconds to load anything Windows Explorer related such as seeing programs in the start menu) but it was fixed with a system restore.
4/23/2018 · Explorer startup lag or overall Explorer lag ? If I open File Explorer from the taskbar, I get about a 0.5-1 second delay from clicking it. If I use the Windows + E key, it is instant. The lag seems to be only when starting it but this happens every-time I open File Explorer .
